18 Sep Mount Nittany Medical Center Healing Garden Aqualens
This stunning sphere fountain was recently placed in the Mount Nittany Medical Center’s Healing Garden – their newest initiative. Mount Nittany Medical is located in the borough of State College in Pennsylvania.
Healing Gardens are usually courtyards or green spaces in hospitals and other healthcare facilities that provide a place of refuge and promote healing in patients, families, and staff.
From Mount Nittany:
“Mount Nittany Medical Center’s Healing Garden is being developed by the community for the community to enhance the health and well-being of our patients, staff and visitors. According to the Center for Healthcare Design, access to nature has become a critical element in the Environment of Care in today’s healthcare facilities.”
I really like the thought of my aqualens contributing to the health and well being of the many people who work at and pass through Mount Nittany Medical Center’s Healing Garden. I also appreciate that more hospitals are using art – such as my fountains – to aid in the healing and well-being of their patients.
